Keeping our Environment Tidy

We all see litter and bigger kinds of rubbish (like tires) around where we live, yet we all have a local authority that employ people to clear up this rubbish, so why is it there?

It is there because, obviously we don’t think that much of our environment, especially when it comes to our streets and neighborhoods. We end up paying the costs for our local authority to clean up the mess that has been made by us.

It is not just the local wildlife that suffers from our litter and unwanted rubbish, it is our children and everybody that lives in our community that suffers from an environment that should be clean and safe.

If you go to mainland Europe, around places like the Netherlands and Germany, then you will see that their streets and local areas, where there is grassland and places of natural beauty, are kept very clean.

What is that they do that other people around the world do not?

Well for one they actually teach their children about the environment more than anyone else in the world, they prosecute people heavily for littering and if someone sees another person littering in the street, they will ask them to pick it up or do it themselves.

Should we take a leaf out of their environment?

I think so, after all what does it take to pick up a piece of litter and put it in the nearest bin? Not a lot really, so when you are out next, instead of walking past the litter and rubbish that is on your street or in your local park, then pick it up and put it in the bin. Somebody else may see this and do exactly the same, after all should we not all lead by example.

It does not really take much to do this and if we all do it then we may not pay so much for the authorities to do it, so look at your own environment make that change, it’s only a small thing to do, but can have major benefits for yours and everybody’s environment.

If you are tired of seeing tires, then get them recycled! Many good things can be done recycled tires, like rubber mulch, to keep playgrounds safer, make gardens stunning and protect horses tendons, when as used as surfacing .
